NATIONAL BOWLING WEEK - AUGUST 22ND - 28TH, 2011

National Bowling Week is a national initiative which encourages bowling centres in every community across Canada to create an "event" to help promote and launch the coming bowling season.

August 2008 was the inaugural year of National Bowling Week in Canada. For this first year Bowl Canada produced a How-To-Guide booklet which was made available to all member bowling centres. The guide provides you with many ideas on how to create an event in your community and also supplies some of the tools for making your event happen, such as sample Press Release, etc.

Additionally, posters, balloons, etc. were created by Bowl Canada so that every centre participating in National Bowling Week would have a means of promoting their event(s) throughout their local area.

Bowl Canada also created artwork which is available for download in the Members Section. Included are logos and stock ads which, with a little customization, made it easy for every member to place an ad in their local paper, post a notice on their website, etc.

Plans are to continue National Bowling Week annually and with good participation from the membership this is an event which will only grow in popularity and exposure. Perhaps in a few years the public will grow accustomed to hearing about National Bowling Week and will automatically tie it in with the coming of the school season, Labour Day, etc. A sign of the end of summer and gearing up for the school year and post-summer sport sign ups.

It's an excellent opportunity to reach its goal of becoming a "top of mind" sport alternative.

National Bowling Week will be held August 22 - 28, 2011. We hope you'll participate in this great promotional tool for your business in your community.

If you need another copy of the How-To-Guide you can find it online in the Members Section.
